God Is More – Revealing Himself In the Expression of Elements

The Many Ways He Reveals Himself
When talking with my community of phenomenal women, there was a question presented in the group chat, “Fire or Water?”
Honestly, I can’t choose between the two because God, for me, is both and more. He’s been revealing Himself to me in different ways:
Rock – God Is Foundation
God is my solid foundation, my strength, my bronze and iron. He is my high tower – firm wall – my fortress. The Rock I stand on, secure and unshaken. The place I put my trust and full dependence. My faithful witness – standing by me, with me, and for me forever. My high place – the mountain that I run to for perspective, understanding, or clarity. In truth, He is a refuge for protection, peace, and fulfillment. I’m held here. I’m safe here. I’m lifted here – in this presence.
Wind – God Is Presence
God is my wind. The place you can’t see, but can feel and hear. The One who directs and guides me. The One who cools me and calms me. The place where I stand in worship, listening for His voice. His presence surrounds me. His breath is as the fresh air I breathe in and release out. Through this, He is my respiration. Therefore the gift that I receive. The place I can freely be and still glide without fear. I’m held here. I’m safe here. I’m carried here. I’m lifted here – in His presence.
Water – God Is Rest & Flow
God is my refreshing, powerful flow. The flow of eternal life. He is the provision needed for growth, sustaining, and nurturing. The place where His cleansing power is poured out. The deep place where I can explore more of Him. My place of no limits and few boundaries. Even more so, my place of rest and support. A still place. A dwelling place. A place of flow, provision, and renewal. And still, a place where He hovers. I’m refreshed here. I’m held here. I’m safe here. I’m carried here -in His presence.
Fire – God Is Refining
God is my fierce and mighty protection. A warmth and security just for me. My purification. My boldness and courage. My light. My passion and desire. My way-maker. The One who goes before me and guards behind me. The One who ignites what is within me. My consuming place – not to destroy, but to develop me. I’m held here. I’m safe here. I’m refined here – in His presence.
In Every Way, I Am Still Held
So no, I cannot choose between Fire and Water. He is more than that – exceeding my understanding. In truth, He is my Rock, my Wind, my Water, and my Fire. In every form He reveals Himself. The hidden, the deep, the unknown nature of His identity that expands my life, existence, and character. In every way – I am still held, still safe, still His. He is for me and I am His.
