The Love of God is so Great

The love of God is so great, I cannot comprehend it. He is so great, mighty, and powerful. His love has no limits – no bounds. He is complete and perfect – there is no flaw in Him. He is the Most High – entirely pure and holy. No impurity, no sin, no wickedness. If you open your eyes to gaze upon Him for a moment. You see Him for who He is – truly the most beautiful Being and Lord you will ever encounter. There is absolutely nothing we can offer God that He does not already possess within Himself. He does not need us for anything. 

Yet, He chooses every single day to love us. Though we’re a people who are sinful, crooked, needy, imperfect, and powerless. Every day the Lord chooses to love us with a faithful, everlasting, and unconditional love. His mercy meets us again each morning, and His grace is renewed daily. He gives us breath, life, and spiritual food to digest – peace, love, kindness, and joy. He chooses patience and kindness towards us before anger and wrath. He delights in us and calls us His greatest treasure – the apple of His eye.

He sees us as beautiful and desires the very best for us. He is quick to forgive and does not hold our sins against us when we repent. He is ready to help us in any given moment with every need, and He is faithful to rescue us from trouble. He Himself is the greatest gift we could ever receive, because He is all we truly need.

He comforts us when we are broken and lifts us when we fall. He does not turn away from us. He teaches us so we are not left ignorant or helpless. He holds us close to His heart, secure in His arms and safe within His hands. It is an honor, a blessing, a privilege – and truly a necessity – to know the Lord, to experience Him and all His goodness, and to witness Him actively present in our life.

He shows up for us in ways that no person ever could. Think of someone you have been deeply close to. Someone you could be completely open and vulnerable with. Someone you trusted with your heart, your life, and your struggles. Someone you could talk with for hours because they truly understood you. The one who made you feel valued, loved, and cared for. The Lord is all of this for you and infinitely more. 

If you knock, He will answer.

If you seek Him, you will find Him.

He is waiting for you.
